What does today

Fly Safe now makes available all the information available on home runs and collected by airports CVAO, CVAS and other people, Flying Club and Associations.

Cos'è Fly Safe

Fly Safe è una piattaforma WEB pensata per aumentare la sicurezza in volo, soprattutto per il volo a vela, ma non solo.

Detta iniziativa è del tutto gratuita e non ha alcun fine di lucro.

Chiunque sia interessato può unirsi a Fly Safe e cooperare per migliorare ed estendere il database, e scambiare informazioni.

Cosa fa ad oggi

Fly Safe oggi rende disponibile a tutti tutte le informazioni disponibili su aeroporti e fuoricampo raccolti dal CVAO, CVAS ed altre persone, Aeroclub ed Associazioni.

Tulle le informazioni sono disponibili su web e distribuibili tramite file ".cup" secondo lo standard SeeYou

Tutti gli aeroporti ed i fuoricampo possono essere monitorati con gli strumenti di Google Maps.

Fly Safe mette a disposizione un database dinamico che condivide tutte le informazioni e le segnalazioni raccolte dai piloti.

Un servizio di mailing list distribuirà le informazioni per i cambiamenti di stato dell'atterrabilità.

È possibile valutare dei Temi di Volo considerando l'atterrabilità in prossimità del percorso desiderato.

I Coni di Planata sono disponibili in versione beta.

Fly Safe è fatto dai piloti per i piloti.

Fly Safe si prefigge l’obbiettivo di estendere la propria area di competenza anche al di fuori all’aera CVAO (Comprensorio Volovelistico Alpi Orientali) e CVAS (C. V. Appennini Settentrionali), ossia ovunque vi siano piloti e contribuenti all’iniziativa.

Ecco perché diventa importante se non fondamentale avere una partecipazione quanto più attiva ed estesa per condividere e mantenere le informazioni sull’atterrabilità, patrimonio per la nostra sicurezza ed anche importante contributo per recuperare l’immagine di uno sport che sin troppo spesso è stato classificato come “estremo” o persino “pericoloso”.

La partecipazione dei piloti, però, non è sempre spontanea e sincronizzata come dovrebbe. Per questo serve il sostegno dei nomi importanti del Volo a Vela, dei Campioni, delle associazioni per la sicurezza, della FIVV, affinché si riesca ai fini educativi ad oliare il meccanismo semplice ma fondamentale di questo importante strumento, per il bene del piloti e del Volo a Vela stesso.

La fine del 2009 e l’inizio del 2010 è stato caratterizzato da un’importante consultazione di Fly Safe da parte dei piloti italiani, cosa documentata di seguito.

In futuro

Fly Safe si ripromette di estendere l'area geografica di copertura, di potenziare il servizio, e di offrire nuove utilità per una migliore definizione dei Temi di Volo in funzione dell'atterrabilità e delle condizioni meteo, nonché di arrivare a simulazioni in 3d.
